Reclaim was designed to mitigate the harmful effects of herbicide soil residue in the agricultural industry.

I am excited to offer a second product to home gardeners, RECLAIM by Soil Diva. I have found Reclaim to be a solution in the home garden world to counteract the harmful effects of contaminated soil converted to gardens or flower beds, drift from lawn weed applications, grass clippings with residual herbicide used for mulch, and organic matter from compromised compost.

Reclaim is a unique product that can deal with herbicide residual in the soil. It helps farmers and gardeners that have noticed an herbicide residual problem on their plants. Reclaim not only alleviates problems, it enhances the health of the soil through microbial stimulation and nutrient availability.

Herbicide residual can come in many forms:

  • Self‑inflicted
  • Drift
  • Compost
  • Old manure
  • Other soil brought in

Imagine a home owner spraying a broad leaf herbicide on their yard, then cutting their grass and putting those clippings on their flower beds and gardens.

Soon, they’re starting to have sick looking plants – curled twisted leaves, burnt edges on the leafs, stunted plants, dying plants. Reclaim can usually help, but depends on how long they have been sick to how soon Reclaim can be applied in some cases multiple applications are needed.

Proven results from users of Reclaim by Soil Diva:

2-4D Drift

RECLAIM is a soil treatment product with 3 distinct uses:

RECLAIM was originally designed for the degradation of herbicide residual. Pre-plant application is preferred, but post-plant application is acceptable. If you are seeing sub-lethal herbicide effects on your crops, time is of the essence!

RECLAIM can heal the sick, but it can’t bring back the dead…apply in a timely manner! Depending on the severity of the chemical residual, more than one application is sometimes needed to have the most impact.

RECLAIM, used as a mid-to-late season application, is an excellent tool to push bulking on potatoes, onions, and many other crops. Not only revive damaged plants, but increase the harvest yield, getting the most out of your crops.

The benefits of Reclaim by Soil Diva are two-fold:

  • First, RECLAIM stimulates new root growth at a time when a plant’s root system is trying to slow down. The new root is more efficiently able to retrieve phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients.
  • Second, RECLAIM stimulates microbial activity, making Phosphorus and Potassium more plant-available.

Purpose: To reduce damaging effects on the growing crop caused by herbicide carryover and to enhance herbicide residual degradation.
Note: Never mix Reclaim in the same tank as an acid based fertilizer or chemical (phosphorous or sulfur).

Soil Diva Frequently Asked Questions:

How does Reclaim differ from the regular Soil Diva soil treatment?

Reclaim was invented to help mitigate herbicide residual problems for farmers, by stimulating a different cross-section of microbes that break down herbicides. Reclaim also works very well in high Alkaline soils. While the regular Soil Diva product works great on all plants and soil, Reclaim was designed specifically to counteract the harmful effects of residual herbicide.

When is the best time to apply Reclaim by Soil Diva?

If you suspect a herbicide contamination: drift, compost, soil, residual, apply ASAP!

How can herbicides get into my soil?

There are a lot of ways that herbicides can get transplanted into your soil, many times without your knowledge! For example, you could have Imported contaminated soil from another location, or added bad compost. Herbicides can also drift into your soil from the air. Here’s an example: imagine a home owner that sprays a broad-leaf weed killer on his or her yard to reduce weeds – we all do that right? Then, he/she uses those grass clippings in their compost for the garden, or as mulch to keep weeds out of their flower bed. Suddenly, they start getting sick plants.

Who is reclaim by Soil Diva best for?

Short answer: anyone who has high alkaline soils or herbicide issues.

Longer answer: almost anyone with soil has the potential to see damage to plant health due to high alkaline or herbicide issues. We often see this in the farming industry, but it can impact homeowners, ranch owners, businesses, landscaping companies, greenhouses, and more.
